Ariel Kouvaras
Ariel is a multi-disciplinary communications strategist and practitioner. She has spent her 15-year career building and executing PR strategies that span practice areas, including, but not limited to, corporate/brand messaging, executive platforms, data-driven storytelling, digital campaigns, and media relations.
She understands how to extract a corporate narrative from a business strategy and turn it into a powerful asset that positively positions the brand, generates interest, and influences key stakeholders. Ariel has also employed similar skills to help clients manage brand reputation and navigate crisis events.
While proudly industry-agnostic and driven by the challenge of learning entirely new categories and the ecosystems that drive them, her professional path has led her to cultivate deep expertise across several sectors, including asset management (with a focus on ETFs), retail, technology, insurance, and real estate.
In her capacity as a managing director at Sloane, she has been leading the firm’s AI practice with a clear focus on integrating the emerging but explosive technology into its tech stack and workstreams, advising clients on its application within the communications field, and encouraging use and adoption with clearly delineated guardrails to mitigate risk.
Most importantly, Ariel sees work as more than a job; it’s an integral part of her life that enables her to continuously learn and practically apply her curiosity about people, industries, and the world to help her clients achieve the results they want and solve the problems they face.
Earlier in her career, she worked at Bliss Group, formerly Bliss Integrated Communications, as a publicist for a New York publishing house, and as a freelance media analyst/report writer for Dow Jones & Company’s Factiva division. She received a B.A. from The City College of New York and spent several formative years in France, which has broadened her worldview.
