Elyse Petroni is a Washington D.C. based Vice President at Sloane & Company where she specializes in advising companies in the healthcare space on strategic positioning, media relations, government affairs and high priority communications. She brings more than 12 years of strategic communications and public affairs experience, which she uses to drive public relations and corporate affairs programs for Fortune 500 companies, associations, and non-profits. 

Elyse is practiced in devising creative and winning strategies to engage with highly influential audiences and run effective, outcomes-driven communications campaigns that move the needle forward. 

In previous roles, Elyse worked for the leading trade associations in the medical device and pharmaceutical distribution spaces representing companies such as Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), Medtronic (NYSE: MDT), Amerisource Bergen (NYSE: ABC), and Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH). In those roles she partnered with business leaders to drive action-oriented understanding of policy positions among politicians and external stakeholders through media relations, multi-channel digital campaigns, thought leadership, government relations, and nuanced engagement. The most impactful outcome Elyse worked on during this time was the successful repeal of the Medical Device Tax, resulting in an annual $5 billion of value to the members of the medical device association.

Elyse also represented public and private clients across energy, technology, manufacturing, and financial industries through her work at the Washington, D.C. offices of public relations agencies Golin and Story Partners.

She is a graduate of West Virginia University and resides in northern Virginia with her husband.
