Karina Barton is a Senior Vice President at Sloane & Company based in New York and focuses on providing strategic counsel for internal and external communications, media relations, corporate positioning, reputation management, investor relations, and crisis management.

With nearly a decade of experience, Karina has been a longtime counselor to some of the world’s largest and most influential companies and executives, including Elon Musk, Valvoline, HP Inc., Toshiba, GoDaddy, Tempur Sealy, ACI Worldwide, XPO Logistics, among many others.

Karina is driven by her authentic passion for the work that she does and is a trusted advisor to Boards and management teams.

Prior to joining Sloane & Company, Karina was a Director at FGS Global – formerly Sard Verbinnen & Co. – where she advised corporate communications and investor relations teams on a variety of issues, including financial communications, shareholder activism defense, and executive leadership transitions. Karina began her career in investment banking with subsequent roles on the investments side, focusing on private equity transactions, activist and value investing, and restructuring.

Karina holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
